England spinner, Graeme Swann, has been quoted as saying "it would be nice to think that we are the golden generation rather than the footballers," as the England cricket team eyes up an Ashes victory in Australia this winter. The Elephant’s Nest Cricket Club may not be quite in this league but with its own cricket ground adjacent to the pub and a full programme of fixtures for the summer, there could be worse ways to spend the long evenings.
