Reefsleep – A Floating Hotel Experience on the Great Barrier Reef
Hamilton Island and Fantasea Adventure Cruising have launched a “Reefsleep” package which includes two nights’ accommodation at Hamilton Island (www.hamiltonisland.com.au) and the unrivalled experience of sleeping on the Fantasea Reefworld pontoon in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, which by night transforms itself into a private floating hotel.
Fantasea ReefsleepFollowing a night on Hamilton Island, guests cruise out to the Reefworld pontoon at Hardy Reef where a range of activities, including semi-submersible tours and the underwater viewing chamber, allows them to explore the reef from both in and out of the water. As the sun sets, guests are served canapés and drinks, followed by dinner alfresco-style under the stars. After breakfast the following morning a scuba dive or a guided snorkelling safari are available. There is also personal time to explore the reef which can offer close encounters with schools of colourful reef fish, not to mention spectacular coral formations.

Guests return to Hamilton Island on high speed catamaran for a final night’s stay and the opportunity to experience time on a beautiful Whitsunday’s Island.

Reefsleep bunkGuest numbers are limited to six with two types of accommodation available both of which feature air-conditioning and large private ensuites:

THE COST
Prices for a three-night Hamilton Island & Reefworld experience start from AUS$960 (approx £603) per person based on twinshare at Reef View hotel, and go up to AUS$1,220 (approx £767)for the Beach Club.
