Prince Hall Hotel Launches PR Campaign

The Prince Hall Hotel (www.princehall.co.uk), the luxury country house hotel and restaurant in the heart of Dartmoor, has appointed Samantha Kirton of iPR to handle a local and national media campaign.

Set amongst rolling, untamed moorland with views down towards the sparkling River Dart, Prince Hall provides the ultimate base for exploring Dartmoor’s wilderness. With just eight elegant rooms and owner-run by Chris and Fi Daly, the hotel offers a luxurious home from home. Guests can unwind in front of an open log fire in the cosy sitting room with its captivating moorland views or savour fresh leaf tea and warm, crumbling, home-baked scones on the sunny terrace.

Delicious meals are served in the restaurant, lounge, bar or outside on the patio, for both guests and non-residents. The chefs pride themselves on creating a traditional English seasonal menu with a unique gastronomic flair, using native beef, lamb and poultry, home-reared pork, locally sourced or home-grown, seasonal fruit and vegetables and mouth-watering local cheeses. Current seasonal highlights include roast rump of new season Dartmoor lamb with pea and mint purée, spring vegetable ratatouille and poached baby beets, finished off with hot cross bun and butter pudding with lashings of cardamom custard or Prince Hall rhubarb ice cream.

For guests seeking to embrace the great outdoors right on the doorstep there is a wealth of options, from fly fishing the nearby River Dart to walking, riding, shooting and photography. Covering 368 square miles of great natural beauty the scenery in Dartmoor National Park ranges from deep wooded valleys and patchwork fields, to the rugged splendour of the tors and open moors rising to over 2,000 ft above sea level. Remarkable wildlife includes wild ponies, badgers, foxes, buzzards, lark, plover, curlew, snipe and heron; sheep and cattle also roam free.

No member of the family need be left behind - the Prince Hall is one of the most dog friendly hotels in the UK, and man’s best friend stays free. Other perks include bottomless doggie treat jar, enclosed pet friendly garden and grounds, emergency dog food supplies and spare dog towels. Dogs are welcome in all rooms and can dine with owners in the bar or outside patio. Resident canine hostess, Polo, is on hand to share the inside track on the best walks.

“We’ve been at the helm of Prince Hall for three years now and felt it was time to take the next step in terms of PR and marketing,” explains Fi Daly. “We offer an intimate, unpretentious country retreat with fantastic staff in a stunning setting. We receive excellent feedback from guests but remain something of a hidden gem and want more people to be aware of just what a special place this is. “We wanted a local PR specialist who really understands the travel industry and Samantha was the ideal candidate, passionate about Dartmoor but with wider agency experience and support,” she adds.
