| Deck The Prince Hall And Be Treated Like Royalty This Christmas |
| December 2011: For anyone dreaming of a truly relaxing Christmas, where you don't have to lift a finger whilst at the same time feeling right at home, the Prince Hall country house hotel on Dartmoor (www.princehall.co.uk) has all the right ingredients, from the roaring log fire to the fabulous festive fare, complete with winter wonderland Dartmoor views. |
Owners Fi and Chris Daly and their dedicated team have done all the work, dishing up plenty of festive cheer with none of the fuss. On arrival on Christmas Eve, guests can relax by the fire with home-baked Christmas cake and tea or mulled wine, followed by carols around the Christmas tree and a delicious dinner.
Christmas Day begins with a light breakfast followed by canapés and Champagne cocktails, which in turn precede a fabulous Christmas lunch with all the trimmings and, if your waistband allows, a simple buffet supper.
After a hearty Devonshire breakfast on Boxing Day guests can set out for a guided walk on Dartmoor with a Prince Hall picnic lunch. The more sedentary might prefer to sink into one of the comfy armchairs by the fire with a glass of mulled wine. The day ends with a well-earned Boxing Day dinner and a final princely night's sleep before departing on December 27th.
And the final icing on the (Christmas) cake, the Prince Hall is one of the most dog friendly hotels in the UK so no member of the family need miss out on the festivities.
The three-night Christmas package starts from £595 per person including dinner, bed and breakfast.
NOTE TO EDITORS: The Prince Hall Hotel is the epitome of a country house hotel: warm, welcoming, unpretentious and with an atmosphere akin to staying with friends. Owner-run and with just eight stylish rooms, the hotel offers a luxurious home from home with an eclectic style all of its own. Set amongst rolling, untamed moorland with views down towards the sparkling River Dart, the Prince Hallprovides the ultimate base for exploring Dartmoor’s wilderness and sampling delicious local produce.
The chefs pride themselves on creating a traditional English seasonal menu with a unique gastronomic flair, using native beef, lamb and poultry, home-reared pork, locally sourced or home-grown, seasonal fruit and vegetables and mouth-watering local cheeses.
Outdoor enthusiasts will love the wealth of options, from fly fishing the nearby River Dart to walking, riding, shooting and photography, and as one of the most dog friendly hotels in the UK, the Prince Hall welcomes man’s best friend for free.
