Simon Bates to Broadcast Live From South Australia in September 2011
Aug 2011: The South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) has partnered with Smooth Radio to broadcast Simon Bates’ breakfast show live from South Australia (www.southaustralia.com) for five days from 12th September.
Simon Bates, Smooth RadioThe broadcast, ‘Live in South Australia: Bates’ Travels on Smooth Radio’, will see Simon broadcasting from a different location each day, including Kangaroo Island, Flinders Ranges in the Outback and Adelaide, updating listeners on the wonders of each location. He will also be blending his own wine in the Barossa Valley, seeing the flora and fauna first hand on Kangaroo Island, sampling the delights of Australian food and wine and traversing the Outback.

Simon will also be giving away an exclusive holiday for two on the last Friday of his tour which will capture the best experiences the region has to offer.

Furthermore, there will be a £500 cash prize to win each morning in the ‘South Australia Audio Postcard’ competition where listeners will be played a 30 second piece of audio during the show. Simon will then read out a question relating to the audio and ask listeners to text in their answer, a listener will then be picked at random.

Details of Simon’s travels will also be available online along with videos, blogs, a route map and a £500 online cash prize.
