New Exclusive Food Safari on Kangaroo Island

This hands-on, paddock and vineyard tour aims to discover Kangaroo Island’s best produce, charting its journey to the plates and glasses of the inspired menus at Southern Ocean Lodge. |
 This inaugural culinary expedition in South Australia (www.southaustralia.com) will traverse the length and breadth of Kangaroo Island in search of fabulous food and wine, hand-picked straight from the source with South Australia’s favourite food legends, Maggie Beer and Simon Bryant, as interchanging tour leaders.
Itinerary highlights include:
- ‘Work experience’ at the Sheep Milk Dairy
- A visit to the green pastures of Southrock Lamb and the shady groves of KI Olive Oil
- Plucking marron and abalone from aquaculture farms and shucking oysters at American River
- Wine tastings
- Cooking demonstrations
 The five-night food safari costs from AUD$4,950 (approx £3,182) per person (based on twin-share) and includes:
- Accommodation in a luxury suite at Southern Ocean Lodge
- All meals and open bar with premium wines and spirits, in-suite bar
- Return flights between Adelaide and Kangaroo Island, plus transfers
- All excursions hosted by either Maggie Beer or Simon Bryant
