| Enjoy Money off for Gramping at Woodovis Park |
| Camp with your gramps and enjoy reduced pitch fees throughout 2011! The trend for multi-generational holidays is not just a great way to catch up with the grandparents, but now also a little more financially rewarding at Woodovis Park in Devon (www.woodovis.com). |
The family-friendly holiday park on the edge of Dartmoor is offering a reduced pitch fee for any campers with at least one person over 50 in their party. The special ‘Over 50s’s Rate’ was introduced last year for low and mid season holidays, and has proved so popular it’s now been rolled out through high season too, ensuring school and summer breaks with ‘the olds’ can be just as rewarding.
Happy campers can also take advantage of the new extended ‘Loyalty Card’ scheme, with stamps for every night stayed – even during high season - and money off future bookings.
Over 50's Rates - If you have at least one person over 50 years of age staying on your pitch, take advantage of the over 50’s rates for touring and reduce your pitch fee by £4 per night.
Loyalty Card – Get a stamp for each night that you stay. Once you have collected eight stamps in total, you will then be given a credit of £25 to pay towards your next booking.
Woodovis Park sits in 14 acres in the tranquil surrounds of the Tamar Valley on the Devon-Cornwall border, located on the edge of Dartmoor in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a designated World Heritage Site - close to Morwellham Quay where the BBC2 Edwardian Farm series was recently filmed. The independently run holiday park has a string of awards and accolades, including taking Silver for the second year running in the South West Tourism for Excellence Awards 'Holiday Park of the Year' category.
On-site facilities include an indoor swimming pool with weekly archery and ‘water walking’ in the pool during school holidays, great for younger family members. There’s a host of activities nearby including canoeing on the Tamar River, horse-riding and cycling as well as top Dartmoor pursuits such as ‘letterboxing’ and wild swimming.
Older family members will love the new Physiotherm sauna incorporating Infrared (IR) therapy technology used in some of the world’s leading hotels, health centres and spas, including Champneys. And with four different types of accommodation to choose from there's something to suit all the family:
- Cosy holiday cottage
- Luxury holiday homes
- New camping pod
- All weather camping pitches
Pitch fees cost from £5 per night in low season to £16 per night in high season – save £4 per night off the pitch fee with the ‘Over 50s Rate’ – plus £7.50 per person per night. Children under five stay free. The ‘Over 50s Rate’ applies to all camping pitches – tents and touring caravans / campervans / motorhomes. |
