Easy Access to Great Barrier Reef with Revived Qantas Service

Hamilton Island, the gateway to Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, is set to welcome the return of a direct Qantas service from Sydney, making it even easier for holidaymakers to include the Whitsunday islands in their trip Down Under.

“The timing of this news has been impeccable, as the Island’s events calendar is soon to ramp up with Audi Hamilton Island Race Week in August, the Australian Ballet pas de deux in paradise in October and The Great Barrier Feast in November.

Economy domestic fares will start from AU$139 (approx. £76) one-way. Further enhancing Hamilton Island’s world-class offering as a regular host to big scale social events, Qantas’ Sydney to Hamilton Island service will also include business fares, starting from AU$569 (approx. £312) one way.

The re-entry of Qantas will see the Island serviced by three different carriers – Qantas along with its sister airline Jetsar, and Virgin Australia.
